Whilst Summer this year was quiet due to COVID, Autumn proved to be quite the opposite!
Adopting APA Shooting guidelines, we have been able to instil confidence with clients on location, making sure that we are filming safely to a high standard. It helps that we are a small production company and can utilise smaller crews.
One of our favourite shoots was a TV promo with Seljan Nasibli, a Soprano opera singer, who we filmed with Stingray Music in St Pauls Church in Chiswick. It was such a delight filming live music again, especially after lockdown. Seljan was accompanied by pianist Nico De Villiers.
Strictly following APA guidelines for COVID shooting, we kept the crew to a minimum of just 3!
The film is currently in the edit suite with Stingray. Below are a few graded stills from the shoot. Thank you Stingray for getting us involved, and Seljan for your incredible performance.
A very exciting project for Other Brother Studios, has been a gigantic edit for our good friend Tommy Oswin Williams that we have been working on this year. Tommy climbed Aconcagua last summer and documented the trip. The mountain stands at 6,961 metres in the Andes mountain range in Mendoza Province in Argentina. It has been amazing to sit through all of his incredible footage and craft together a film worthy of his experience. Here are a few stills from the edit:
Our latest project for Ridgeview Wine with Yesmore Wine Marketing Agency was created completely remotely during the second lockdown. We ‘shot’ 4x celebration moments with 20 participants, from the comfort of their own homes. The videos were recorded by the participants on their phones and directed over Zoom and Skype! The clips were sent to us and then edited our side. A first for Other Brother Studios, but a great experience! With a happy client and agency we are very much looking forward to those videos being released soon.
We have also had a fantastic time shooting with Andrew Mills over at School Reel, who we have been working with for 4 years now! School Reel makes promotional films for schools and whilst the pandemic certainly threw up something interesting challenges on set, we have been able to film safely in lots of schools, still to a really high standard. It’s been lovely to shoot this autumn at Honeywell School in Clapham, The Cumberland School in Newham, and Hornsey School for Girls in Crouch End. Firstly some BTS photos, followed by graded stills from the films.
